Frequently Asked Questions

Are AmortiWise calculators free?
Yes. Every calculator is free to use, requires no account, and has no usage limits.
Do you store the numbers I enter?
No. All math runs locally in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server or saved anywhere.
How accurate are the results?
The math follows standard amortization formulas and is accurate to the cent for loans that accrue interest on a fixed periodic schedule. Lenders may use different day-count conventions, add fees, escrow or insurance, so treat results as close estimates.
Does paying biweekly really save money?
Usually yes. Biweekly payments produce 26 payments a year — the equivalent of 13 monthly payments — so the principal falls faster and less interest accrues.
How do extra payments work?
Extra amounts are applied directly to principal each period. Because interest is charged on the remaining balance, the savings compound and the loan ends earlier.
Can I export my amortization schedule?
Yes. Every schedule can be downloaded as a CSV file for spreadsheets, or printed / saved as a PDF using the print button.
